Bad Trip @ Cultuurcentrum Sint-Niklaas

De geheimen van de geest fascineren al eeuwen wetenschap en kunst. Sinds Plato buigen filosofen zich over de raadselachtige relatie tussen ziel en lichaam. Vandaag vragen we ons af hoe we comapatiënten kunnen behandelen, of liefde echt chemie is en hoe we naar andere planeten kunnen reizen. En wat te verwachten van artificiële intelligentie?

Nadar ensemble speelt vier werken waarin wonderlijke kanten van de geest centraal staan, van het waakvlammetje van de slaap tot psychedelische visioenen.

“After having examined the temporal strategies and strata of the financial system in KREDIT. Von der Erwartbarkeit zukünftiger Gegenwarten (2013) in the format of a doku-fiction-film-live-concert we in RECHT would like to explore the territorial and spatial conditions of law and composed music – as a superposition of documentary film, live-video and concert” (HS and DK).

Underwater Princess Waltz - a collection of one page pieces

One Page Pieces are compositions that fit on a single page; sometimes just one musical idea, other times consisting of a large musical structure with concert length proportions. Rough sketches, witty sound experiments, conceptual folk songs, politically engaged “sound” manifests... All of these One Page Pieces require a considerable amount of creativity and compositional skills from the performers. Underwater Princess Waltz is a collection of one page pieces releases on cd by New World Records. With Zwerm, Eric Thielemans (percussion) and Bertel Schollaert (saxophones). 

In collaboration with deSingel Art city (Antwerp, Belgium) & Amy Beal (Professor of Music - Music Department Chair, UC Santa Cruz).
